The Positive Footprint is focused on sustainable living for the body mind and planet. I believe the in order to live a sustainable life, you have to focus on your own body and mind as well as the planet. They are all interconnected and it is important to improve each one individually in order to truly live a sustainable lifestyle. We will focus on realistic lifestyle changes that will help you reach your sustainable goals.


Body – Our body plays a big role in how we feel everyday. Most importantly, it houses our soul. We should treat our bodies with respect and work on keeping them healthy. We can accomplish this through many ways such as natural medicine, non toxic beauty products, exercise, and healthy eating. This is not going to be a blog about unrealistic (for me) changes like going vegan or exercising for two hours, seven days a week. I will be honest, I still enjoy some fried food every now and then and am fully okay going a few days without working out. I will focus more on making the right choices MOST of the time. I think its all about balance if a lifestyle change will be truly sustainable.


Mind – Our mind is one of the most important aspects of our livelihood, but often gets over looked. Our thoughts determine what kind of day we have, what decisions we make, and how we treat others. If we don’t have a healthy mind, our over all happiness in life suffers. I will focus on ways to become more in tune with your mind, allowing you to become your best self. Some topics will include meditation, having a more positive outlook, and overall mental health. While this may be one of the more difficult topics to discuss, I think it may be the most important


Planet – Without the Earth we live on, we would all die. I feel people do not think of the planet this way enough. Our basic requirements we NEED to survive are air, water, and food. We rely on Earth for every single one of these, yet we are not doing every single thing in our power to protect and preserve them. This area will be the main focus on this blog, mostly because it is what I am most passionate about. I will focus on ways to help the planet throughout your every day life and reduce the impact you and your loved ones have. We will talk about some of the issues seen today and discuss small steps you can take towards reaching solutions

I am a budding minimalist with a passion for living the simple life and doing so in a sustainable way. I have a passion for holistic living, cooking from scratch, and anything outdoors. During the day, I am working as a project coordinator in Iowa helping farmers and cities increase their conservation efforts, resulting in a healthier environment.
